Guinea booked their place in the group stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Sunday night, after sealing a 2-0 victory over Namibia in Casablanca.
The ‘Syli’ scored either side of half-time to progress 3-0 on aggregate, after they had secured a 1-0 away win in the first leg.
Anderlecht forward Idrissa Sylla put Guinea ahead just before half-time, to send the West Africans with a comfortable two-goal aggregate cushion into the break.
And the ‘Syli’ doubled their lead ten minutes from time through Red Bull Salzbourg attacking midfielder Naby Keita, who had scored the winner in Windhoek.
Head coach Luis Fernandez’ men hold onto their advantage until the final whistle, to extend their international journey and keep their hopes of qualifying for their first ever World Cup finals alive.
