Cameroon beat Ghana 2-0 at the Stade de Franceville, in the Gabonese city of Franceville, on Thursday evening to book their place in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations final.

The Indomitable Lions will face Egypt in Sunday's showpiece in what will be a repeat of the 2008 final in Accra; when Cameroon also defeated the Black Stars only to fall to the Pharaohs.

Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui and Christian Bassogog on target for Hugo Broos's troops, who have stunned the continent with what is a youthful unit.

Cameroon dominated the early exchanges and should have been a goal up at the break. Adolphe Teikeu unlucky to see his header attempt from a corner-kick cleared off the line by Harrison Afful in the eighth minute.

Robert Ndip Tambe then missed a golden chance with 12 minutes on the clock; steering his effort straight at Brimah Razak from close range.

Ghana's first shot in anger fell to Jordan Ayew in the 40th minute. The newly signed Swansea City forward bursting into the box with great effect, only to see his resulting shot wide of goal.

Cameroon 0-0 at the interval.

The Black Stars looked a better side following the break, but it would be Cameroon to take the lead in the 72nd minute.

Poor goalkeeping by Razak who failed to gather the ball from a free-kick. Ngadeu-Ngadjui was quickest to react with the defender plundering the ball into the back of the net to send the Indomitable Lions fans into delirium.

Asamoah Gyan duly emerged from the bench as Ghana went all out for the equaliser. But it was not to be as Cameroon booked their place in yet another final - they go in search of their fifth title against the most successful team in the tournaments history.

Danish-based Bassogog with the nail in the coffin in the 93rd minute of the match - finishing off a swift counter - as Ghana go crashing out, having reached their sixth successive semifinal.
