CAPS United thrashed Zamalek 3-1 in the 2017 CAF Champions League Group B match at the National Sports Stadium in Zimbabwe on Sunday.
As a result, the Zimbabwean side move to position three on the Group B table, while Egyptian club Zamalek slip down to position four on the table.
The first shot on target went to the White Knights 20 minutes minutes into the encounter.
But CAPS goalkeeper Prosper Chigumba was alert as he denied Zamalek striker Stanley Ohawuchi.
The opening goal came a minute after the half-hour mark as the Green Machine's pressure paid off.
Zamalek keeper Ahmed El-Shennawy was beaten by Ronald Pfumbidzai, whose low shot made it 1-0 to CAPS.
However, Ohawuchi restored parity when his powerful shot beat Chigumba - to make it 1-1 in the 43rd minute.
The score was 1-1 during the half-time following an action-packed first-half in Zimbabwe's capital city, Harare.
The White Knights had chance to take the lead following the introduction of Salah Rico in the 65th minute.
However, Mahmoud Shikabala, the Zamalek captain, fired over the crossbar after dribbing past his marker in the CAPS box.
The visitors were made to rue that missed chance as Brian Amidu scored to make it 2-1 to CAPS in the 75th minute.
The Zimbabwean striker then sealed CAPS' 3-1 victory in stoppage time as he fired past El-Shennawy with a good shot.
