Club Africain close the gap on FUS in Group A

Things are very tight in Group A of the 2017 CAF Confederations Cup after four rounds of fixtures, with all four teams deadlocked following Club Africain's 2-1 win over FUS Rabat at the Stade Olympique de Radès on Tuesday.

All four teams sit on six points with two wins and two defeats apiece, following favourable results for Africain and Rivers United.

The Nigerians registering a 2-1 win over KCCA before Africain climbed up to second following victory over FUS in Radès.

The Moroccans - Faith Union Sport - still lead the way on goal difference, but things are still wide open with two rounds of fixtures to play ahead of the knockout stages.

Mohamed Fouzair opened the scoring for FUS after 31 minutes as the visitors boasted a 1-0 lead at the interval. The forward converting from the penalty spot.

The Tunisians, though, would pull level through Ali Abdi in the 69th minute before snatching all three points in the fourth minute of added time.

Imed Minyeoui with the decisive goal to send the home fans into delirium, as the hosts successfully exacted revenge for what transpired in the reverse fixture earlier this month.
