Al Ahly booked their ticket for the round of 16 of the CAF Champions League with a 4-0 aggregate win over Rwanda side APR.

Following their 2-0 away victory in Kigali in the first leg of their round of 32 encounter, the Egyptian giants sealed a win on the same score line in the return match at the Petro Sport Stadium on Saturday.

Two goals from attacking midfielder Moamen Zakaria either side of half-time hammered the final nail in APR’s coffin.

The eight-time African champions remain in the race for a ninth continental crown, with Morocco’s outfit Moghreb Tetouan as their next opponents in Africa’s foremost clubs competition.

Defending champions ES Sétif, USM Alger, Al Merreikh and Stade Malien have also sealed their spot for the last 16 of the prestigious tournament, while the remaining ten round of 32 clashes are scheduled this Sunday.

AL AHLY LINE-UP AGAINST APR
Sherif Ekrami - Mohamed Hani, Sherif Hazem, Saad Samir, Hussein El-Sayed - Hossam Ghaly (Bassem Ali 63), Mohamed Rezk, Mahmoud Hassan "Trezeguet", Walid Soliman (Saladin Said 56), Moamen Zakaria - Emad Meteb (Ramadan Sobhi 46)
