The full interview:

FOOTBALL.COM: How has the pre-season been with CSKA

Ahmed Musa: It was great. A very hard and good pre-season
we have had out there in Spain and Israel.

Do you see your team winning the league and cup
this season?

It will be a very big and tough battle for the
league and cup this season, a lot of teams want the trophies but I am
optimistic we could still make the double.

What can you say about the friendly against Mexico
in the USA?

It was a good game for us and I believe it served
the purpose it was meant for. We gave out our best.

You won the AFCON with Eagles last year, what is
your target at Brazil 2014?

My target is to help Super Eagles to reach a
height we and any other Africa teams have not reached before in the World Cup.

Meaning you target the semi-final?

Yes, that is the least stage I am hoping we would
reach in Brazil. We will certainly take the games as they come.

Who is the player you wish you could be like?

I don't want to be like any player, I just want to
be Ahmed Musa even though I learn from several top players like Ronaldo.

Who is the biggest star you would be happy to play

That would be Lionel Messi.

So, how are you looking forward to facing him
again at the World Cup?

That will be a tough game but it will bring out
the best in us. I believe we will win the game.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?

Last year remains the best of my career so far.
That was the year I won the Nations Cup and also won the league and cup in
Russia. I also had a baby boy same year.
