Sam Ssimbwa has vowed to take SC Villa to court over failure to compensate him for terminating his one year contract.
The experienced Coach and former Uganda Cranes midfielder was last week sacked by the Club after they said he failed to meet the disciplinary committee. “In our contract any party that terminates the contract should pay a certain percentage which they have not done,” said Ssimbwa.
Ssimbwa said he was shocked that SC Villa could terminate his contract when he helped them from almost bottom of the table to second on the log behind SC Vipers.
“They only paid me for the outstanding salary for February and March and some bonuses,” added Ssimbwa who added that he will not fail to get another top team to handle in the East and Central African region.
Emmanuel Misagga, the SC Villa President however said they terminated Ssimbwa’s contract because he was not getting along with players well and the team was also playing boring football. “I think it was time we made a chance. Ibrahim Kirya will keep handling the team till we bring a foreign coach next season,” added Misagga.
In Uganda Ssimbwa has handled Mbale Heroes, KCCA FC, Express FC, SC Victoria University and now SC Villa. He also coached Kenya’s Sofapaka FC and Rwanda’s Police FC.
