URA FC Coach Alex Isabirye is optimistic his team can stop table leaders SC Vipers in a Uganda Premier League (UPL) match on Tuesday.

“I know SC Vipers have good players and they have been playing well. But we also need to bag maximum points if we are to have any chance of winning the league title,” Isabirye told AfricanFootball.com.

Former TP Mazembe midfielder Mike Mutyaba and in-form Farouk Miya who netted the lone goal in the Uganda Cranes 1-0 win over Nigeria last month in an International friendly will lead SC Vipers who lead the log with 52 points.

URA FC who were bundled out of the CAF Confederations Cup by South Africa’s Orlando Pirates last month are fourth on the log with 41 points. The likes of Feni Ali, Yasser Mugerwa and Robert Ssentongo will lead URA FC.

SC Victoria University who lost their last game to defending champions KCCA FC in a League match last week will hope to get back to winning ways when they host Lweza FC at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

Placed second from the bottom Rwenshama FC will face a tricky game against sixth placed Police FC, while Sadolin Paints host Bidco FC and army side battle Entebbe FC.
