Thanks for joining us on AfricanFootball.com for our live African Stars Watch of the English FA Cup final between Crystal Palace and Manchester United.
There were two Africans in Crystal Palace's starting XI with Yannick Bolasie of DR Congo
providing the attacking threat from midfield and Pape Souare of Senegal
playing at left-back.
On the bench Crystal Palace had Emmanuel Adebayor of Togo
and Bakary Sako of Mali,
but neither got to run on in a game that Crystal Place lost 2-1.
Man United had no Africans in their team at all.
As it happened:
That is full time and heartbreak for Bolasie
as Crystal Palace lose 2-1 to Man United.
It is a race to the ball as Zaha drives into the box, but De Gea gets there just ahead of the Palace man.
GOOOOOAAAALLLL!!! Lingard scores with a powerful volley from just inside the box to give ten-man United a 2-1 lead.
Carrick heads inches wide after meeting a left cross from Martial.
Zaha plays Gayle into space inside the box, but he is denied by De Gea in a one-on-one.
The second half of extra time is underway.
That is half time in extra time with United and Palace still locked at 1-1.
RED CARD!!! Smalling receives his second yellow card and is sent for an early shower. United are down to ten men.
A thunderous 30-yard volley from Bolasie
is superbly saved by the fingertips of De Gea.
Young drives into the left side of the Palace box, but his 14-yard shot strikes the side-netting.
United get us underway in the first half of extra time in the FA Cup.
That is full time and the game is locked at 1-1. We will now go into 30 minutes of extra-time.
Substitution for Palace: Dann is off injured and Mariappa is on. That means no other Africans will take the field in this FA Cup final.
Substitute for United: Mata is off and Lingard is on.
20h19 - Souare
with a great run down the left and cross, but Zaha miss-hits the volley. He should have done better.
Substitute for Palace: Gayle is on and Wickham is off.
GOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL!!! United have quickly eqaulised thanks to Mata who scores from 12-yards out. Rooney made the goal as he dribbled past three players before crossing from the right for Fellaini to head into the path of Mata.
GOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL!!!! Super sub Jason Puncheon has scored for Palace from an acute angle on the left, firing a ten-yard shot past De Gea on his near post, 1-0.
Both of the Africans, Bolasie and Souare,
have been fairly quiet in the second half.
Substitute for Palace: Cabaye is off and Puncheon is on. United have also made a change with Rashfard going off and he is replaced by Young.
Substitute for Man United: Rojo is off and Darmian is on.
Martial meets a Valencia cross from the right, but his ten-yard header hits the post and bounces away from danger.
United are turning the screws in attack, but Palace are defending well.
Great interplay by United as Rashfard plays Fellaini into space, but his 14-yard shot thumps against the woodwork and away from danger.
19h41 - Bolasie
slips at the vital moment when he tries to shoot from 16-yards out and United clear the danger.
The second half between Palace and United is underway.

19h20 - Souare
breaks down the left, but is fouled by Mata who is booked.
Carrick fires a powerful 30-yard shot just over the crossbar.
Rashford drives down the right as Souare
tries to sheppard him. The United man whips in a low cross for Martial who sees a 16-yard shot cleared off the line by Dann.
It has all been United. Place have not really threatened in attack.
Solid defending this time from Souare
makes up for his earlier error as he stops a United attack with a well-timed tackle.
Mata with the best chance of the match so far as he drives into the box, but sees his 14-yard shot superbly saved by the Palace goalkeeper. Some sloppy defending from Souare
allowed Mata the space in the box.
Great ball from Bolasie
to release Wickham, but he is dragged down by Smalling who is booked. Wickham did ride the challenge and find the back of the net, but the referee had already blown for a foul.
First decent shot on goal comes in courtesy of Rooney, but Hennessey makes a good stop to deny him from 30-yards out.
United with a sustained period of pressure and a couple of corner-kicks, but the Palace defence has look solid and kept the threat at bay for the meantime.
18h40 - Yannick Bolasie

18h38 - Pape Souare
