Kawkab Marrakech suffered their first Caf Confederation Cup Group B defeat at the Stade de Marrakech in Marrakech on Friday.
Goals from El Gnaoui Youssef, Benjelloum Abdessalam and Mohammed Fouzair earned FUS Rabat a 3-1 victory over Kawkab in the night.
As a result Rabat climbed to the top of Group B with seven points, while Kawkab dropped down to second place on the table with six points.
The first goal of the game came on the 23rd minute after Rabat were awarded a penalty and El Gnaoui Youssef stepped up to make it 1-0 to the visitors.
But the home side were also awarded a penalty just before half-time and El Fakih Mohammad made no mistake from the spot-kick as he made it 1-1 for Kawkab.
It took only three minutes for Benjelloum Abdessalam to give Rabat the lead after the Kawkab defence was caught napping and they conceded.
The home side tried to push forward in numbers in search of the equalizing goal, but the Rabat defence looked in the second of the game.
In the 68th minute, Mohammed Fouzair extended the visitors' lead when he beat Kawkab goalkeeper Mohamed Ozouka to make it 3-1 to Rabat.
With three minutes left on the clock, Kawkab had a chance to pull one back from a set-piece, but Rabat managed to clear the ball away.
In the end, Rabat were able to hold onto their two goal lead in the late stages of the game and they were able to walk away 3-1 winners on the night.
