Latest information surfacing from Egypt is that Zamalek have offered Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane a coaching job.
The White Knights are reportedly without a coach after axing Moamen Soliman in the wake of their CAF Champions League final 3-1 loss on aggregate to the Brazilians last month.
Media reports indicate that Zamalek officials made an offer for the ex-Bafana Bafana mentor as they want to reclaim their glory on the continent.
However, Mosimane is said to have told them he is happy at the Tshwane giants with the offer flattering the Kagiso-born tactician.
In the report, it is also indicated that the White Knights are looking for a manager who knows their team and are aware that 'Jingles' has no contract with the African champions.
PITSO MOSIMANE: I DON'T FEAR TP MAZEMBE
"It's true that Zamalek made the approach, but I was absolutely flattered," Mosimane is quoted by the Sowetan.
"I was honest with them - telling them I have a job at Sundowns for now. I told them it won't be easy for me to just up and leave.
"They told me they wanted someone who understands their team. They could hear in media interviews that I know them in and out. I played them four times.
“I know their most influential players, their strengths and weaknesses. But I'm emotionally attached to Sundowns.
"It took me some time to build this team, and I'm still trying to strengthen it to get to the level of TP Mazembe, Zamalek and Al-Ahly."
Furthermore, the website has it that Mosimane's four-year deal at Chloorkop came to an end at the end of June 2016, but in spite of coming out to say a new contract had been signed, it is understood this is not the case.
