Cape Town City goalkeeper Shu-Aib Walters expects s tough encounter against his former side Maritzburg United.

The two Premier Soccer League giants will meet on Tuesday night at Athlone Stadium as they both want the full three points.

However, the former Bafana Bafana net-minder reveals there are emotions when it comes to meeting his former bosses.

Under the guidance of Eric Tinkler, City have bagged three consecutive wins over Baroka FC, Bloemfontein Celtic and Chippa United in all competitions.

"It will be an interesting encounter you know, they come from a good win so are we," said Shu-Aib Walters.

"It will be out first match at Athlone, but I think if we apply ourselves properly, we should take the full three points.

"Meeting United will always be emotional because I want to do well against them.

"Last season, we beat them three times and I was man of the match at Harry Gwala Stadium."

The Mother City side sit at number three on the Absa Premiership log table with 17 points from nine matches so far.
