Avram Grant, coach of Ghana’s senior national team, has labelled sports journalists in the country ‘Sunday Professors’.
The Black Stars coach took a swipe at local media when he announced his 26-man preliminary squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations earlier this week.
“Everybody has an opinion about the coach’s selection. I call them Sunday Professors because they talk a lot before matches and that's all,” said the Israeli manager, as quoted by GHANASoccernet.
Grant’s team arrived in the United Arab Emirates yesterday to begin a training camp ahead of the AFCON, where they will compete in Group D.
Ghana will begin their campaign on January 17 when they face Uganda in Port-Gentil.
