Goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has replaced the injured Adam Kwarasey in Ghana’s preliminary squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

Dauda, who was recently signed by Nigerian giants Enyimba, was left out of the Black Stars’ 26-man squad by coach Avram Grant.

However, an injury to Norwegian-based Kwarasey has seen Dauda called up to join Brimah Razak and Richard Ofori as the gloves-man in the squad, which is currently training in the UAE.

The 30-year-old Dauda was a part of Ghana’s squads at the 2008, 2013 and 2015 AFCONs, as well as the 2014 World Cup.

“Yes, I have received a call-up and I am likely to leave today (Wednesday) to the UAE,” Dauda told GHANASoccernet.

Ghana will open their Group D campaign in the AFCON against Uganda on January 17 in Port-Gentil.
