Morocco will be without Southampton midfielder Sofiane Boufal during the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in Gabon.
The attacking midfielder was included in the final 23-man squad for the prestigious tournament which will run from January 14 to February 5.
However, according to a statement from the Moroccan football federation, Boufal will miss the competition after sustaining an injury.
"Sofiane left the camp in Al-Ain this morning after the confirmation of his injury and his inability to take part in the African Cup," a statement read.
"He will be replaced by another player whose name will be announced later," another statement read.
Moroccan trio Younes Belhanda, Nordin Amrabat and Oussama Tannane have already been ruled of the tournament after suffering injuries.
It remains to be seen, who will be called up to replace Boufal by Morocco head coach Herve Renard, who won the last AFCON tournament with Ivory Coast.
