Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba

Former Olympique Marseille player Marc Libbra has backed the idea of Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba returning to the club.
The former Elephants captain played just one season at OM before leaving for Chelsea in 2004, but after scoring 32 goals in just 55 appearances across all competitions he is fondly remembered at the Stade Velodrome.
Drogba has been linked with a return to Marseille in recent days, having left Montreal Impact at the end of the last MLS season, and Libbra reckons it would be a great move for both club and player – provided Drogba is willing to drop his wage demands.
"It all depends on his state of mind. If he ever agrees to be paid at a premium, and if he accepts a supporting role for Bafetimbi Gomis, then I'm interested, yes," said Libbra.
"He would offer support to the group, for the young people, during the training sessions, he would offer a lot of things. When Drogba gives you lessons, like with Thierry Henry and Belgium, you listen to him.
"From a marketing point of view, OM would sell shirts everywhere. But it's a dilemma."
