“We are ready and we want to do something extraordinary for our supporters”, said Adebayor in an interview with Togofoot website.

”Ivory Coast is very strong team with many young players but we also have young players very talented and we have more than half of the team that has already been at Africa Cup of Nations.

“It is to Côte d’Ivoire to lead the game, we will quietly play our game and we will see what it will give in the end.”

The former Crystal Palace man acknowledged that the Elephants will not be easy to beat, but the Sparrow Hawks want to stand and be counted.

Stade d'Oyem in Gabon is the venue for the 18:00 encounter on Monday evening.
