Latest information coming to the attention of AfricanFootball.com is that Orlando Pirates have signed Chippa United defenders, James Okwuosa and Marc van Heerden.

According to local media reports over the weekend, the Chilli Boys have parted ways with the Nigerian centre back and Bafana Bafana left back.

It is reported that the duo joins the Sea Robbers as part of a swap deal where Justice Chabalala, Donald Mukondelela, Sello Japhta and Nkosinathi Mthiyane complete their switch to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Meanwhile, Pirates were previously linked with Okwuosa's signature last year and were reported to have signed him, but the deal fell through at the last hour.

The report also indicate that the two players are set to train with the Soweto giants on Monday.

"We are happy we have replaced those players with equally quality players," Chippa boss, Siviwe Mpengesi tells KickOff.com.

On the other hand, the former AmaZulu defender, spent only six months under Dan Malesela's guidance having joined at the beginning of the current 2016/17 season from Usuthu in the National First Division.

Although Chabalala joined from Free State Stars, he made eight league appearances and was seen as a perfect partner to Edwin Gyimah at the heart of the defence.

Although Pirates are yet to confirm the deals, this website will track the developments from both clubs.
