Golden Arrows will target a second Absa Premiership victory this year when they host Free State Stars at Princess Magogo Stadium on 18 February 2017, kick-off at 15h30.

Arrows claimed their first victory of the calendar year (and ended a seven-match winless streak in the league) with a 2-1 home triumph over Bloemfontein Celtic on February 11.

The Durban side has claimed 12 points from eight home matches this season.

Abafana Bes’thende are placed seventh on the Absa Premiership log with 23 points from 17 matches.

Stars played to a first draw since November last year when they were held 0-0 at home by SuperSport United on February 15.

The Free State side has claimed two points from eight away matches this season.

Ea Lla Koto are placed 14th on the Absa Premiership log with 15 points from 17 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Stars and Arrows have met in 23 league matches since 2000/01.

Ea La Koto have eight wins compared to seven for Abafana Bes’thende, while eight matches have been drawn.

Arrows have won five of their 11 home league matches against Stars, suffering two defeats in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season, Abafana Bes’thende claimed a 1-0 away win in the Free State.

Arrows have won their last three successive league matches against Stars.
