Cape Town City will look to claim the scalp of Orlando Pirates in the Absa Premiership when the teams meet at Cape Town Stadium on 18 February 2017, kick-off at 20h15.

City claimed a second successive league win when they defeated local rivals Ajax Cape Town 2-0 on February 11.

The Cape side has claimed 16 points from eight home matches this season.

CTC are placed second on the Absa Premiership log with 31 points from 17 matches.

Pirates saw their winless streak in the league extended to seven matches when they were beaten 2-1 at home by Bidvest Wits on February 15.

The Soweto side has claimed nine points from eight away matches this season.

The Buccaneers are placed 10th on the Absa Premiership log with 19 points from 16 matches.

In head-to-head stats, City and Pirates have met in just one previous top flight match.

That encounter took place earlier this season, with the teams playing to a goalless draw in Soweto.
