Township Rollers captain Maano Ditshupo cut a disappointed figure following their exit from the 2017 CAF Champions League on Saturday afternoon.
The Botswana giants beat Madagascar's CNaPS 3-2 in the preliminary round second-leg clash which was played at the National Stadium in Gaborone.
But Rollers crashed out of the tournament as the tie ended in a 4-4 draw on aggregate and CNaPS advanced to the next round on the away goals rule.
"We were the better team and we have no one to blame for not going through to the next stage," Ditshupo told Rollers' official website.
"We let ourselves down; we have let the supporters down, this was a winnable tie but we let it slip," the midfielder continued.
"Hopefully we have learnt something from this loss, but for now me and my team is very disappointed," Ditshupo concluded.
