In the wake of the visit from Zambian vice president Inonga Wina to the national U20 team, Chipolopolo coach Wedson Nyirenda says it was a blessing.
Nyirenda has been handed the role of a technical director for the Junior Chipolopolo and has also weighed in on the visit by Wina.
Nyirenda joined the likes of Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga who also commended the Government for the support rendered towards the hosting of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
“The visit by the Vice- President is so touching. It is a blessing to have the mother of the country visiting the team and give encouraging words to the players,” Nyirenda said.

Meanwhile, Wina urged the players to find courage and represent the nation with pride as he told them they can win the trophy on home soil.
“Young men, I have come here to encourage you as you prepare for the 2017 Africa Youth Championship. The Zambian people are behind you…they are with you,” said Wina.
“When you go out there, we believe that the support you will get from Zambians will make you proud to represent your country. You will be determined to represent your country on the pitch.
“The greatest fan, the President of the Republic of Zambia, Mr Edgar Chagwa Lungu, will be there on Sunday to cheer you so that you remain encouraged.”
Zambia are in Group A with Guinea, Egypt and Mali and will get their group stage campaign against Guinea on Sunday.
