Guinea target eye first Group A victory

Guinea and Egypt are set to square off in the 2017 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group A game at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka on Wednesday.

Kick-off is at 15h00 (CAT).

The Young National Elephants are coming off a narrow 1-0 defeat to tournament hosts, Zambia, in their first game group match which was played on Sunday.

Striker Momo Yansane, who was instrumental for Guinea during the qualifying campaign, will be looking to score and help his side beat Egypt.

Guinea head coach Mandjou Diallo has said that they will prepare very well for their clash with the Young Pharaohs of Egypt.

Meanwhile, The Young Pharaohs were frustrated by Mali and they settled for a goalless draw in their first group game which was played on Sunday.

Abdoul Karim Dante, who is the Egypt captain and defender, will be keen to lead his side to victory following their disappointing draw with Mali.

Egypt head coach Gamal Abdelaziz has stated that they will correct their mistakes ahead of their clash with the Young National Elephants.

Namibian match referee Jackson Pavaza will be in charge of the encounter between Guinea and Egypt.
