Zambian national U20 coach Beston Chambeshi insists their mission is to reach the semi-finals of the 2017 U20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The young Chipolopolo are hosting the tournament and will now face Mali in their second Group B match on Wednesday.

Chambeshi's men are looking for their second win after beating Guinea 1-0 on Sunday in their first match at National Heroes Stadium.

A win for Zambia means they will reach the semi-finals to automatically qualify for the Youth 2018 FIFA World Cup in South Korea this year.

However, facing Mali means they will have to dig deeper as the young Eagles will also want a win from the match.

“We have a lot of respect for Mali, who are used to playing at the highest level in youth competitions. Since we want to progress in the competition, we will play to beat them and continue to please our teeming fans.

“There will necessarily be a different approach. If they are used to beating us, then we will do everything possible to make it different this time. My team is a selection of players with a strong mentality.”

The match will be staged at National Heroes Stadium on Wednesday night at 18:00.
