Benson Shilongo's late goal helped Platinum Stars beat Chippa United 2-1 in an Absa Premiership game at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Friday night.
As a result Dikwena climbed up to ninth on the league standings, while the Chilli Boys moved down to 10th on the table.
The deadlock was broken 19 minutes into the game and it was in-form striker Lerato Manzini, who put the visitors into the lead with a good finish.
Manzini made it three goals in three league matches when he beat Stars goalkeeper Mbongeni Mzimela to make it 1-0 to Chippa.
Stars did push for the equalizing goal against a stubborn Chippa side, who held onto their slender lead until the match referee blew the half-time break.
Dikwena's pressure finally paid off 11 minutes into the second-half when Robert Ng'ambi scored much to the lead of the home crowd.
The Malawi international hit the back of the net to make it 1-1 for Stars with defender Siyabonga Zulu grabbing a well deserved assist.
Second-half substitute Benson Shilongo proved to be the hero for the home side as he hit the back of the net with two minutes left on the clock.
The Namibia international striker beat Chippa keeper Daniel Akpeyi hands down with a stunning effort to seal a 2-1 victory to Stars.
