Wilfried Bony has expressed his confusion at a lack of playing time at Stoke City, saying “it makes no sense”.

The Elephants attacker is on loan at the Potters from Manchester City, but is currently being frozen out of the team.

He has not been included in any of Stoke’s matchday squads (let alone the starting XI) since a 1-1 draw with Everton on February 1. His last appearance for the club was on December 27.

"I went to the staff several times. Each time, they told me that I was training very well, that my attitude was good and that I had to continue like that,” Bony told Foot Mercato.

"They had nothing to reproach me with. I then asked them if they wanted me to work anymore. They did not say anything to me.

"When you are told that everything is fine but you do not even play a minute and you are not even in the group against Tottenham, it makes no sense."
