Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah has expressed satisfaction at his performance on MLS debut for Columbus Crew this past weekend.
The Black Stars centre-back made his official debut for Crew in their 1-1 draw with Chicago Fire in their opening MLS match of 2017 on Saturday.
Mensah played the full 90 minutes at the MAPFRE Stadium. He saw his side go ahead through Ethan Finlay’s 17th-minute goal, but couldn’t prevent compatriot David Accam scoring the equaliser.
"[My MLS debut] wasn’t bad," Mensah said, as reported by his club's official website.
"I did what I could do and I hope I improve game after game.
"The result wasn’t what we wanted, but a lot of positive stuff and we will pick it up from there and look to the next game.
"[The atmosphere at MAPFRE Stadium] was good. This is my first time and I really liked it. I hope it’s going to continue like that."
