Former France international Marcel Desailly has revealed that he is being pushed into applying for the Ghana coaching post.
The 1998 World Cup winner jokingly posted the following on his official Twitter account, but calls for him to take over the Black Stars are not without substance or support inside Ghana.
Ghana’s senior team is currently without a coach after the departure of Avram Grant last month. The Ghana FA have tasked a committee with filling the role by the end of the month.
Desailly has been linked with the Ghana job before and would be a popular choice given his credentials as a player and his roots in the West African country.
GHANASoccernet reports that more than 70 coaches have shown an interest in the vacant position, while the closing date for applications is this Friday.
