Swedish agent Hamid Kabodvand has claimed that Ghanaian veteran Michael Essien is keen on playing in the Allsvenskan.
Kabodvand told Sportbladet: "This is serious. Essien needs to play matches and get in shape. So the Allsvenskan is perfect.
"He also wants that both he and the club will be able to have an option to terminate the contract in the summer at the next transfer window."
However, GHANASoccernet reports that the former Chelsea and AC Milan player has been rejected by AIK, Hammarby and IFK Göteborg.
Essien is currently a free agent, having terminated his contract with Greek giants Panathinaikos last year.
He has been training at Chelsea’s facilities in Cobham in an attempt to keep fit while searching for a new club.
