RB Leipzig central midfielder Naby Keita has been criticised for been too aggressive on the pitch by some of his opponents in the German Bundesliga.
The 22-year-old has been a revelation for Bundesliga title chasing Leipzig this season and his exploits have also attracted interest from top English clubs Liverpool and Arsenal.
The defensive midfielder admits that he tends to be aggressive at times, but also insists that one needs to be aggressive in order to win back the ball.
"That's perhaps true sometimes, particularly when the opposition have the ball," Keita told Bundesliga.com.
"The thing is, to win the ball back you have to be aggressive," the highly-rated youngster continued.
The Guinea international also commented on Leipzig's new French defender Dayot Upamecano, who joined the club from Austrian club Salzburg in January 2017.
"Dayot is still young , but he'll leave his mark here. He's working hard for that. I'm helping him settle in," Keita added.
"He's hungry and I'm convinced that he'll get playing time. He has one excellent characteristic for a player of his age: he's patient."
Keita is also a former Salzburg player having left the club for Leipzing prior to the current 2016/17 campaign.
