Zambia coach Beston Chambeshi was ecstatic after his side clinched the 2017 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title in Lusaka on Sunday night.
Two goals from Edward Chilufya and Patson Daka helped the Young Chipolopolo beat Senegal 2-0 in the final at the National Heroes Stadium.
"It is amazing, fantastic. I am a very happy coach with the outcome of this competition that we have dominated and won," Chambeshi told CAF Media.
"I do not have enough words to thank the players who spared no effort to ensure this victory.
"I can assure you that it was not easy because in addition to the Senegal team, a great team, it was necessary to do with the pressure from the public," he added.
"The players have managed well and the whole country can be proud of them. We also need to salute the public that has been behind us throughout the competition. They pushed us to victory.
Zambia won the U20 AFCON title for the first time and they are set to represent Africa at the 2017 U20 FIFA World Cup finals which be hosted by South Korea.
