Former Ghana head coach Avram Grant has offered advice to the Black Stars a month after leaving the team following the expiration of his contract.

The Israeli tactician parted ways with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) after the Black Stars failed to reach the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final in Gabon.

Avram, who reached the 2007/08 UEFA Champions League final with English giants Chelsea, has since indicated that Ghana lack direction.

"With these great talent at the youth level especially, they deserve a treatment in the highest level today," Grant said on SuperSport.com.

"Key subject is about direction and policies and Ghana need to continue with the process that it started with.

"Germany is a typical example and in 2014 they won the World Cup because they paid much attention to policies and directions from the scratch."

Avram, 62, guided the Black Stars to the 2015 AFCON final where they narrowly lost to Ivory Coast on penalties in Equatorial Guinea.
