Ivory Coast and Senegal played to a 1-1 stalemate in an international friendly which was played at the Stade Sébastien-Charléty in Paris, France on Monday night.
The Elephants starting line-up included Manchester United defender Eric Bailly, Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie and Crystal Palace winger Wilfred Zaha.
On the other hand, Everton central midfielder Idrissa Gueye, Lazio forward Balde Keita and Liverpool FC forward Sadio Mane all started for the Lions of Teranga.
The two African giants struggled to create good goalscoring opportunities in the first 15 minutes of the friendly encounter.
The first real chance of the game went to Senegalese Famara Diedhiou, whose effort was diverted out by Bailly in the 19th minute.
Senegal did find the back of the net just before the half-hour mark, but the goal was disallowed because of a foul of Ivory Coast goalkeeper Sylvain Gbohouo.
Ivory Coast forward Nicolas Pepe had a chance to give his side the lead on the stroke of half-time, but he failed to hit the target and the score was 0-0 at the interval.
The Elephants had a bright start to the second-half with Giovanni Sio narrowly missing the target just nine minutes into the second-half.
However, it was the Lions of Teranga, who broke the deadlock in the 68th minute after Senegal were awarded a penalty.
The 2016 African Player of the Year nominee Mane then stepped up and beat Gbohouo from the spot-kick to make it 1-0 to Senegal.
But the lead lasted for only two minutes as Gohi Bi Cyriac, who plays for Fulham in England, hit the back of the net to make it 1-1 for Ivory Coast.
Both teams launched late attacks in search of the winning goal, but it never came as the match was abandoned in stoppage time due to crowd trouble.
