Frenchman Alain Giresse and Egyptian giants Zamalek are in talks, as confirmed by the manager’s agent.
The White Knights have been looking at appointing a foreigner to replace Mohamed Helmy, with club chairman Mortada Mansour announcing that Giresse has agreed to take over the club, as reported by KingFut.
Joe Kamga, the agent of Giresse, has confirmed the talks but refused to name which Zamalek officials he was dealing with.
“Zamalek and Al Ahly are big clubs in the continent. It’s an honour for any manager to coach any of them,” Kamga told Sports and Youth Radio channel, as quoted by KingFut.
Zamalek are currently third on the Egyptian Premier League – 12 points behind leaders Al Ahly – and they have qualified for the group stage of the 2017 CAF Champions League.
