Nigerian star Alex Iwobi has explained that he’d like to see Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger remain in charge of the team.
The Gunners boss has come under fire from fans and pundits following the London side’s recent slump in form.
Wenger could end his long stay at the helm of the club by stepping away from the managerial post at the end of this season, but Iwobi reckons the Frenchman should stay.
"He's a great man in my opinion. I'd like him to stay,” Iwobi told the BBC’s World Football programme.
"He's always helped me and developed me as player,
"I don't think it's fair the way everybody criticises him. It's very unfair considering what he's done.
"He's always achieved fourth place, been in the Champions League and been up there with the title contenders."
Iwobi will hope to feature for Arsenal when they return to action in the Premier League with a clash against Manchester City this weekend.
