Scouts from Manchester United, Chelsea and Stoke City watched Moses Simon score a brace of goals in Belgian football on the weekend, according to Allnigeriasoccer.com.
The Super Eagles player scored both of Gent’s goals in a 2-1 win over Club Brugge on Sunday.
Simon’s first goal arrived in the 25th minute and was assisted by compatriot Samuel Kalu, while his second was a penalty on the stroke of half time.
Gent also featured fellow Nigerians Anderson Esiti and William Troost-Ekong in their line-up, as well as Ghana’s Nana Asare and Malian Kalifa Coulibaly.
The 21-year-old Simon has scored five goals in 24 league appearances for Gent this season.
Representatives from the trio of Premier League clubs were in the stands at the GHELAMCO-arena.
