Platinum Stars head coach Cavin Johnson says he is looking forward to their upcoming fixtures in domestic and continental football.

The South African Absa Premiership side will face Baroka FC in the Nedbank Cup last 16 clash on Tuesday, before travelling to Ivory Coast.

Dikwena are scheduled to take on Ivorian side AS Tanda in the CAF Confederation Cup play-off round first-leg clash in Abidjan on Sunday.

However, Stars are coming off a 2-0 defeat to fellow Confederation Cup campaigners Bidvest Wits in an Absa Premiership game on Saturday.

“We have to regroup. I think we have a bigger game on Tuesday. We try to put this game as far behind our heads," Johnson told the club's official website.

"The games are coming thick and fast now. We play every 48 hours so we need to pick up again on Tuesday and fly to Ivory Coast to play AS Tanda in Confed Cup and come back play Cape Town City.

"It's back to back games. This is what we like as coaches. It’s good for players that they play every week."

The winner on aggregate between Stars and Tanda will book their place in this year's Confederation Cup group stage.
