Ghana’s Kwadwo Asamoah has earned the praise of Juventus coach Max Allegri for his showing against Napoli on Sunday.
The Black Stars man was handed the left-back role in the Juve team and put in a strong showing to shackle Napoli’s dangerous wide-man Jose Callejon.
Asamoah is gradually becoming a regular again for the Italian champions after a couple of years in which he has struggled with persistent injuries.
His start against Napoli was his 11th in the Serie A this season and did nothing to harm his chances of remaining in the run-on XI as far as Allegri is concerned.
''Kwadwo Asamoah had a good game, at times a bit too busy, as Jose Callejon is very difficult to mark,” said Allegri after the match.
The 1-1 draw left Juve six points clear at the top of the table. They will return to action on Saturday when they host Chievo.
