Nigeria’s Victor Moses remains a doubt for tonight’s Premier League match between Chelsea and Manchester City, with the London club set to make a late call on his fitness.
The Super Eagles player has been struggling with a calf injury since the Blues’ 1-0 win over Manchester United in the FA Cup in March.
He missed out on Nigeria duty in the recent international break and was absent from Chelsea’s surprise 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Without any other natural right wingback in their squad, Chelsea are desperate to have Moses back for a crunch clash against the Citizens at Stamford Bridge.
To that end, coach Antonio Conte has declared that they will leave it late to make a decision on the player’s fitness.
“I don’t know if he will be available, ” Conte said in Tuesday afternoon’s press conference.
“We have another day to check the situation in the right way.
“A couple of situations we have to check and then to make the best decision for the starting XI.”
