Egyptian defender Ahmed Elmohamady has identified Hull City’s Premier League ‘six pointer’ against Middlesbrough tonight as their most important match.
The Tigers claimed a vital win over West Ham United this past weekend and come into the match against fellow relegation battlers Boro looking to pick up more crucial points.
“It was a great result and a massive three points for us on Saturday. Everything changed in the second half,” Elmohamady said in the press conference on Tuesday.
“It worked better in the second half for us for some reason and now we go into tomorrow night’s game with confidence.
“Our home form has been fantastic under Marco Silva and it will be key to us staying up,” the Egyptian added.
A win for Hull could take them out of the relegation zone and boost their hopes of remaining in England’s top flight.
“Of course, everyone wants to be out of the bottom three, especially tomorrow, it’s a big game for us,” said the Pharaohs player.
“With eight games coming, it’s massive. They’re all cup finals, but I think the most important game is this one.”
