AfricanFootball wraps up Saturday’s CAF Confederation Cup playoff round, first leg matches played across the continent.

South Africa’s Bidvest Wits were unable to claim a first-leg lead in their tie against Egypt’s Smouha, with their clash in Johannesburg ending goalless.

Madagascar’s CNaPS Sport were also held at home, playing to a 1-1 draw in Antananarivo against Recreativo do Libolo of Angola.

The other three matches produced home wins: Uganda’s KCCA proved too strong for Egyptians Al Masry, with Nasimbambi scoring the only goal of the match in favour of the East Africans.

Tanzania’s Young Africans also edged Algeria’s MC Alger 1-0 in Dar Es Salaam thanks to a second-half goal from Kamusoko, while CF Mounana of Gabon beat Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas 2-1 to set them on the path to what could be a major upset.

Ten further matches will be staged on Sunday, while the Rivers United v Rayon Sports tie will be played a week out of sequence, with the first leg on April 15 followed by the return game on April 22.
