Uganda Cranes will face Senegal in an international friendly match on 6 June 2017 in Dakar.
Head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic told AfricanFootball.com on Thursday that the Senegal FA had finally agreed to host the Cranes enroute to Cape Verde for a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
“This will be a very timely build-up because it is best to try out the team with the best teams around the continent,” added Sredojevic.
The last time these two teams faced off was a 2014 World Cup play-off qualifier in Marakesh, Morocco when Senegal won 1-0 in 2013.
Senegal were eliminated by eventual champions Cameroon at the quarter final stage of the 2017 Afcon, while Uganda Cranes failed to make it out of the group that had Egypt, Ghana and Mali.
Ahmed Hussein, the Uganda FA spokesman said the FA will meet with the technical arms of the National senior team for further preparations of the upcoming international engagements including the 2019 Nations cup qualifiers.
Uganda Cranes was drawn in group L along side Cape Verde, Tanzania and Lesotho for the 2019 Afcon qualifiers.
