Valenciennes striker Lebogang Mothiba believes that Owen Da Gama is good enough to be permanent South Africa head coach.
Da Gama has been the stand in coach following the dismissal of Ephraim Mashaba last December and the South African Football Association (SAFA) are busy looking for a permanent head coach.
Mothiba, who played for SA under Da Gama at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, has backed the SA Under-23 coach for the senior national team job.
"Obviously I'll be very happy; I know him and he knows me and also he's a great coach, a good coach," Mothiba told KickOff.com.
"He also has a good relationship with the players, he listens to the players, to what they have to say.
"After that they work on what they have to do in the situations when the face tough situations," the 21-year-old player continued.
"I like him and he's very good coach. Even if they choose him to be our Bafana coach I'll be very happy, I'll be very excited."
Mothiba is on-loan at French Ligue 2 side Valenciennes from French Ligue 1 outfit OSC Lille.
