West Ham United midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate insists that their manager Slaven Bilic should not be blamed for the team's recent poor form.
The Hammers recently went seven consecutive English Premier League (EPL) matches without a win and Bilic was under pressure.
However, Senegal international Kouyate's solitary strike against Swansea City helped West Ham return to winning ways in the league almost two weeks ago.
Kouyate says the Croatian tactician gets the stick when the Hammers are not performing on the pitch.
"Everyone here loves the gaffer," Kouyate told the media.
"He's such a great guy and a great coach and his staff with him.
"And we were disappointed with the stick he was getting when it was us on the pitch performing."
West Ham drew 2-2 with Sunderland AFC in a league match over the weekend with 27-year-old Kouyate playing the entire match.
