Extension Gunners veteran defender Mmoloki Kebalepile has revealed that they did not expect Daniel Nare to leave the club during the current season.

The experienced tactician resigned as the head coach of the Botswana Premier League (BPL) giants last month and Itumeleng Duicker was appointed caretaker coach.

Kebalepile has since explained that the Gunners players have accepted Nare's departure and they are now looking to do well in their remaining league matches.

“I just want to thank God, the team is taking up shape and we are hopeful that at least, we will be in top eight at the end of this season," Kebalepile told Mmegi.

"I am happy on how we are determined within our camp and we are working tirelessly to achieve that because it is possible,” he said.

“We never expected coach Nare to leave the team at the time he left," he continued.

"He left, there is nothing we can do about it and we have accepted it. I am hopeful that we will bring results this season."
