New Algeria head coach Lucas Alcaraz has disclosed his plans for the Desert Warriors ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers in June 2017.
The Spanish tactician was appointed by the Algerian Football Association (AFA) last week. This is after Alcaraz was fired by Spanish La Liga side Granada.
''We will focus our work on three components," Alcaraz said on AllNigerianSoccer.com.
"First watch the matches of the Algerian team. Then watch those of our opponents and chat with the players.
''We will also follow the matches of the championship of the Liga 1 Mobilis. We will do everything possible to integrate Algerian football in all its fields," the 50-year-old tactician said.
''As for the World Cup the situation is complicated but we will fight in every match.''
Algeria are also scheduled to participate in the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) and 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers later this year.
Alcaraz is expected to guide the Desert Warriors to both the 2018 World Cup and 2019 AFCON finals which will hosted by Russia and Cameroon respectively.
