SuperSport United head coach Stuart Baxter says he remains hopeful that his side can still win this season's South African Absa Premiership title.
This is after Matsatsantsa were beaten 1-0 by the reigning league champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the Tshwane Derby clash on Wednesday night.
"We have to lick our wounds, sharpen our knives and tighten our belts," Baxter told SuperSport TV.
"We have to make sure we run this season out as best we can, you never know.
"There are twists in the tale and maybe, maybe we can get in through the back door," the British tactician said.
"This is what wins and loses games of football. We knew we could afford to give them possession in some areas.
"But then the discipline on a set-play, a free-kick. Yeah, you can have your opinions on whether it is a free-kick," he added.
"But you have to defend it and we didn't, and that is what cost us the game."
The narrow defeat sees SuperSport remain fifth on the league table - nine points behind log leaders Cape Town City, but the former have a game in hand.
