KCCA FC had coach Mike Hillary Mutebi has blamed his teams’ 3-0 loss to FUS Rabat on silly mistakes his players committed in the middle of the pack.
The Ugandan League champions were humbled on Sunday in the first group game of the CAF Total Confederations Cup.
“FUS Rabat were tactically very good and responded to whatever we did on the day,” Mutebi told Africafootball.com.
Mutebi said they conceded three goals because of being careless in the middle of the pack. He called upon his players to be more efficient and keep the focus.
“That is what we lacked but I believe there is room for improvement and I expect a better performance in the next game,” he added.
He said they have the potential to improve when they host Club Africain on May 24th at the Philip Omondi Stadium.
The team will also welcome back first choice goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan, skipper Denis Okot who missed the game because of suspension and attacking midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba who was injured.
The loss places KCCA FC bottom of the table, while Club Africain who beat Nigeria’s Rivers United 3-1 on Sunday are second.
After hosting Club African on May 24th, the Ugandan side will also host Rivers United on June 3rd.
