Kenya and Tottenham Hotspur striker Victor Wanyama has expressed happiness after helping his side bag a win over Manchester United on Sunday.
The Lily Whites overcame the Red Devils 2-1 at White Hart Lane, a game which was the last at the venue pending refurbishments for the next season.
Although they finished as this season's English Premier League's runners-up to Chelsea, Wanyama capped an impressive performance with a beautiful opening goal.
"I am happy with our team performance and I am glad I scored an important goal. It was an all-round performance from the entire team that has culminated in a good season for us despite missing out on the title," Wanyama told the SuperSport website.
"It’s always a nice feeling scoring for your team on important occasions."
The Harambee Stars skipper joined Mauricio Pochettino's men from Southampton last summer, reuniting with his former Saints boss in the process.
Although he was seen as cover for Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier in the heart of midfield role, Wanyama has featured more than expected as he impressed with his power and aggression.
