Chippa United’s fight against relegation from the Absa Premiership sees them host SuperSport United at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on 17 May 2017, kick-off at 19h30.

Chippa suffered a fifth straight league defeat when they were beaten 1-0 at Highlands Park on May 12.

The Eastern Cape side has claimed 18 points from 14 home matches this season.

The Chilli Boys are placed 15th on the Absa Premiership log with 24 points from 28 matches.

SuperSport claimed a second successive league win when they defeated Cape Town City 4-2 at home on May 9.

The Tshwane side has claimed 22 points from 14 away matches this season.

Matsatsantsa are placed fourth on the Absa Premiership log with 48 points from 28 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Chippa and SuperSport have met in seven league matches since 2012/13.

Matsatsantsa have an unbeaten record in the sequence, with four wins to their name as well as three draws.

Chippa have recorded one draw and two losses in their three home league matches against SuperSport.

When the teams met earlier this season, they played to a goalless draw in Tshwane.

The teams’ seven league meetings have produced 15 goals.
